Bradley Stoke Community School, most commonly referred to as BSCS, is a secondary school and sixth form in Bradley Stoke, South Gloucestershire, England. It is part of the Concorde Partnership, a collaboration between Filton College and nine schools in South Gloucestershire and which share resources and courses.[2]
Construction of BSCS was completed in July 2005; the school opened in September to accommodate the new year 7 pupils. As of January 2011[update] the school has 1,033 students.[1]
In 2008, the school was awarded with specialist status in Performing Arts. The school was rated outstanding by the Ofsted inspection in November 2009.[3]
As of September 2011[update], the school is planning to convert to an academy on 1 January 2012. The school's name will remain the same, but the academy trust will be named the Olympus Academy Trust after the famous Rolls-Royce Olympus jet engine which powered Concorde.[4]
